This position is located in the Department of Homeland Security (DHS), Office of Policy, Border, Immigration, and Trade, Office of Immigration Statistics. The Office of Immigration Statistics (OIS) develops, analyzes, and disseminates statistical information needed to inform policy and assess the effects of immigration in the United States.

The primary purpose of this position is to plan statistical research projects that evaluate the social, economic, environmental, and demographic impact of immigration, to include immigration benefits, border security, migration flows, and immigration enforcement.

Promotion Potential: This position has promotion potential to GS-13.

This Statistician position starts at a salary of $54,972 (GS-09), or $66,510 (GS-11), or $79,720 (GS-12),depending on the grade level of the selection.
