Human Trafficking Hackathon at George Mason - All students welcome to participate

WHAT: George Mason University’s Schar School of Policy and
Government -Terrorism, Transnational Crime and Corruption
Center (TraCCC), and the DHS Criminal Investigations and
Network Analysis (CINA) Center of Excellence, are joining
forces with Blue Compass on a Human Trafficking focused
hackathon as a part of the #ExpeditionHacks event series. Join
us with your own team or join a team onsite to create a
solution using technology to help combat human trafficking or
assist its victims, using artificial intelligence/machine learning,
augmented reality, or any other idea you might have to
contribute to the eradication of this terrible crime and the
suffering of its victims.

WHY: Human trafficking is a global enterprise that is second only to
drug trafficking as the most profitable criminal business. It
takes many forms, including labor trafficking and sex
trafficking. Come to get involved in a meaningful way to have
an impact on eradicating human slavery. Also come to show
off your skills and get noticed by industry professionals (bring
your resume!) and compete for a chance to win some cash!
