This position is located in the Policy and Planning Division, Office of Management Services, Office of the Executive Director, Bureau of Diplomatic Security. The Policy and Planning Division exercises Bureau-wide responsibility for the development and implementation of a framework of policies and guidelines that govern the management and operation of the Bureau and oversees the strategic planning documents. The incumbent serves as a Program Analyst responsible for working with specifically assigned organizational segments of the Bureau in the development of policies and procedures.

Salary: $77,490.00-$100,736.00
Duration Appointment: Temporary Non-Status: 1 year renewable for up to 4 years
Requirements: Applicants must have 1 year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-11 level in the Federal service which provided the applicant with the particular knowledge, skills and abilities to perform the duties of the position. Qualifying specialized experience must demonstrate the following:
-Experience examining proposed legislation and/or regulations for impact on programs.
-Experience researching and conducting studies on new and proposed policy initiatives.
-Experience drafting and negotiating the terms of agreement on administrative and security issues.
-Experience evaluating and analyzing program operations and making recommendations for improvements, when needed.
