Critical Language Scholarship Programs

1. The Critical Language Scholarship (CLS) supports undergrad and grad students in intensive summer study of a wide range of critical languages - An official representative from the CLS program will give a talk with valuable advice for preparing a competitive application -take advantage of this special opportunity! CLS application deadline is November 16.

CLS EVENT DAY/TIME/LOCATION: Tuesday, October 25 from 4 pm to 5 pm – 1310A Marie Mount Hall (this is a lower-level room - follow the signs!) Please RSVP to scholarships@umd.edu

2.The Boren Scholarship is aimed at undergraduates (US citizens) who want to study abroad for one or two semesters (preferably) in 2017-18 in non-traditional regions and countries, and who are interested in learning the languages of those areas. Maryland has ranked # 1 in the nation in Boren Scholarships awarded for the past 5 years!!! The Boren campus deadline is January 25, 2017.
